Dig Into an Artisan Burger at Stanton’s City Bites

More than 50 years ago, Mr. Stanton opened a family-run grocery store in Houston. The store was on the first floor, and on the second floor, he lived with his family. His eldest son, who grew up in the store, would go on to take over with his wife, converting the grocery store into the eatery known as Stanton's City Bites.
Together, the husband-wife team creates one-of-a-kind burgers crafted to order. If you're feeling up to the challenge, try the Cowboy Brunch burger. True to its name, the burger comes piled high with everything a cowboy could possibly chow down on for brunch: a fried egg, house-fried pickles, grilled onions, bacon, Swiss cheese, American cheese, mayo, mustard, lettuce, and tomatoes. Two thick slices of Texas toast hold the burger together. Then there are lighter options like the meat-free sandwiches, such as the portabella mushroom sandwich with provolone cheese and basil pesto crafted in-house. Stop by to explore all the options at Stanton's City Bites.
