Don’t Miss the Catfish Opelousas at Gumbo Jeaux’s

Gumbo Jeaux's first Cajun restaurant in Houston attracted so much buzz that its owners decided to take a chance on a second location. And since the sister eatery opened about 1.5 miles from Memorial Hills in May, customers have overwhelmingly affirmed their decision to branch out. More than 50 glowing Yelp reviews have already piled up for the new restaurant on Durham Drive.
It'll take you less than 10 minutes to get to this casual eatery, and once you arrive, head right to the counter. That's where the fried seafood comes from. The catfish opelousas come highly recommended, a pair of blackened catfish matched with fried shrimp, steamed veggies, and dirty rice, all smothered in a flavorful sauce. The fried shrimp, however, is worth a taste all on its own, and so is the tilapia Acadia, according to reviewers.
